Share
The holidays mean cozy photos, guests at the door, and lots of cuddles. Give your pet a quick, stress-free grooming refresh so they look (and smell) their best for every gathering—without a trip to the salon.
1) 10-Minute Pre-Guest Tidy
- Face & Eyes: Wipe tear stains and eye corners with a pet-safe wipe.
- Quick Brush-Through: Use a slicker to lift loose hair and add shine—especially around the chest and tail.
- De-fur the House: Roll sofas, rugs, and coats to keep the entryway guest-ready.
2) Winter Coat Care (Fight Dry Air & Static)
Indoor heating can cause dry skin and static flyaways. Brush in short sections, then finish with a light spritz of pet-safe conditioning spray to reduce static and add softness.
3) Paw & Belly Check After Snow Walks
- Rinse off salt/de-icer from paws and belly.
- Pat dry thoroughly between toes to prevent mats.
- Apply a paw balm if pads look dry or cracked.
4) De-Shedding for Double-Coated Breeds
Before big photo days, do a gentle de-shedding session: brush with a slicker, then comb through the undercoat. Keep sessions short (5–8 minutes) to avoid over-brushing sensitive skin.
5) Freshen Up Without a Full Bath
No time for a bath? Use a waterless pet shampoo and finish with a quick blow-dry on cool to fluff volume around the neck ruff and tail.
6) Photo-Ready Finishes
- Ears: Wipe outer ear flaps (never insert cotton swabs).
- Whiskers & Muzzle: Comb gently to align for close-ups.
- Collar/Tag: Clean or swap to a festive bandana for the final look.
